Bankroll Posts on 2+2

Found a couple of bankroll posts on 2+2 to be interesting. First is about paying yourself out of your bankroll. Sooner or later (hopefully) most people progress to the point where they can begin to pull money out of their online accounts. For instance, some players will simply decide that $5/$10 is the limit they like to play at and so with a 300BB bankroll ($3000 for those of you not quick with math) they can play with a degree of comfort that they won’t bust out. Now, what happens if they’re a winning player and find themselves clearing $1000 a month playing poker part-time? Do you leave it in or take it out?

Anyway, the discussion on how different people like to handle their finances seemed interesting so check it out. Personally, my situation is a complete mess. I have a offline bankroll, a Paradise bankroll, a Party bankroll, an Empire bankroll . . . . At some point I really should get around to coming up with a better strategy.

The second bankroll post I just found amusing. The question was; if you multi-table, do you need more than a 300BB bankroll? I guess I just found it interesting to hear people argue about standard deviation using long stories to make thier point when it would have been much easier to just do the math.

That thread was painful. Now I can see why it’s so easy to win money online. People have no clue about gambling theory, even on the mighty two plus two forum.
