I see people slow playing their big pairs all the time and especially with AA. I just laugh everytime I hit a big flop and beat them down.

On Party you really have to play all your big pairs fast, especially aces. Good job.

How about...

He was going for a check-raise on the turn?

He slowplays pre-flop (ok, we've all done it).

He sets up the check raise for the turn, with his action on the flop.

You didn't fall into the trap on the turn (good for you :>)

...but if you did, he gets another BB out of you - he bets the river and you call.

If he 3 bets you pre-flop, he gets just one bet out of you on the flop, turn, and river.

If he check-raises the flop, he gets the extra bet then, instead of the turn, when its only worth half as much.

I don't think he played it badly - you were wise to check the turn.
