I’m not sure how many of your are familiar with MetaFilter but it’s a popular site that lets anybody post to it. It’s not really a blog but it has blog-like characteristics. I’ve always liked the idea because it’s self-running. The users keep the abusers in check.
Anyway, here’s my little experiment; I’ve set up a MetaFilter clone I’m calling PokerFilter. The hope is that bloggers can post:
a) Stuff they might not post on their own blog like links to a 2+2 thread or another poker blogger’s post.
b) Links to thier own blog postings that they think are worthy of increased exposure.
I’ll play the role of moderator for the off-topic posts and spammers but for the most part anybody is free to post whatever they want. Pimp your blog posts. Post stuff of interest to the poker blogger community. Whatever. I’ve posted a few sample one’s to get things started but hopefully they’ll be more poker blogger posts than posts from me.
Have fun!
Bill

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.
