Hughes just came by to show me this on PokerWire.com:
Anthony ‘Tuff_Fish’ Guetti moved all in for 600, and Johnny Kitchens called. The players showed:
Johnny Kitchens 8d7c
Anthony Guetti 10d10sThe board came 6d5h3c7d9c, and Kitchens rivered a 9-high straight to win the pot and eliminate Guetti. Johnny Kitchens won his table, advancing to Day Two.
That was the final table in action on Day One. All of the survivors will return tomorrow to play their way down to the final table.
For those of you who might have missed it, Tuff_Fish has videos of his online poker sessions that are comedy gold. Check out my previous posts about tuff_fish.

Rafe “WSOP Winner” Furst

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.

That guy is playing at the WSOP!?!?!?
No wonder all the pros endure the madness.
