April has been cool enough to be my Dr. Feelgood and supply me with my “How’s Ryan Doing?” fix. I have a special ringtone for text messages on my phone and normally when I hear that “Hello Moto” ringtone it means something bad had happened. Perhaps a server is down or some other badness has triggered an alert which will occupy my next several hours with stress and pressure. Now when I hear that ringtone I know it means another Ryan update from April (and on rare occassions Ryan).
At the end of Day 3 of the WSOP Main Event Ryan is 132nd in chips out of a remaining 481 players. He’s guaranteed at least $26k at this point but his chip stack is deep enough that barring him walking into Day 4 and pushing all of his chips into the center on the first hand, he’s likely to move up at least a few notches on the payout scale. And since he won his seat on Full Tilt Poker, if he were to win this *fingers crossed* he would be eligable for the $10,000,000 Full Tilt is willing to throw on top.

Ryan Plays The Hammer Strong

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.
