Man, American politics are rigged! With all the online poker conspiracies floating around, everyone forgot that the only one that mattered was the one that would actually get us to stop playing poker.

Just out of curiosity, does it ban online poker to residents of the US, or just those computers that are located in the US. Theoretically, the law is fairly difficult to be enforced, because either a US citizen goes on vacation to Canada with a laptop and is still unable to play online, whereas a Canadian could come to the US and have no trouble at all. I just don't see how this law is realistic at all. You'd think after trying prohibitions of various kinds, the legislature would learn a damned lesson, but it seems history haunts us again because politics get in the way of doing what is correct.

Hey Kitty--what's this BS about "revenge of the smokers"??
IT disgusts me that so many smokers think it's their "freedom" to smoke and stink up what would have normally been our FRESH AIR. You disgust me. What if I sat next to you with my pet skunk, "stripe"? And what if I had the "habit" of squeezing him and shooting his pungeant smell all over my fellow players at the table? Well, hell, it's MY FREEDOM and MY habit RIGHT!. It's MY habit, so you should live with it. Why do I care that you have to smell Stripes odor all night, and go home wreaking like a skunk? What if pet skunk owners around the world took over the B&M poker rooms? YOu would have no right whatsoever to complain one bit. Enough said
Smokers who show such pride and love for their disgusting, STUPID, stinky, unhealthy habit disgust me. You may love it, but others DON'T HAVE TO, nor do we have to accept it. Non-smokers were here first on the earth. Take your smoke and shove it! Sicko.

I think you yanks should move to sunny England, Internet gambling is not thought upon as such a big deal in the UK in fact the Inland Revenue do not see any form of gambling as stable enough in order to tax it, and our government is not as yet trying to save us from ourselves by banning online gambling just yet.

Revenge of the smokers

For every online player that ever said "I hate the smoking at B&M poker rooms, I wish they'd ban it," this is your payback.

When you don't care about others freedoms, and want to change their behavior to "protect" them, you run the risk of having yourself "protected."

You are now protected from the evils of online gaming, enjoy it.

Roger,

What part of turning every casino employee into a federal criminal is unclear to you?

Okay, I don't understand why this is such a big deal. First, this law is simply aimed at preventing Credit Card companies (let me repeat) Credit Card companies from transfering money to a gambling site. That's ALL. So, what's the big deal!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very conflicted between all the different views of the new law as to what route to take.
