The postings might be a little light over the next few days. I’m moving into a new flat. The flat I moved into when I got here is leased by my employer and their lease is up. The landlord wants the place back to redecorate which is code for raising the rent. It does need redecorated though. The furniture could use a little updating (perhaps to something from this decade). So, I could move out and find a place to crash until the redecorating is done and then move in at a higher rent or I could just move once and find a new place. I’m notoriously lazy so I found a new place.
It’s up the road a bit, closer to the border. My commute to the office will go from a 5 min walk to, oh no, a 10 minute walk. It’s also a little nicer than the place I have currently but it’s about 100 GBP more a month which is about what I would expect my current landlord to raise the rent by anyway.
Anyway, no interwebs connection when I move in. The place is wired for DSL (supposedly) but I have to call and order it. This being Gib . . . I’m just going to expect to be without for at least a week or so. In other words, probably a few less posts. I’ll try to queue stuff up to publish automatically if I can.

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.
