The lovely Brandi is shocked and awed by a magic trick
Yes, it’s really her. And thanks for the recently wed Mr. Glyph for emailing me this one (and congrats, amigo!).
BTW, this is pretty good stuff from Phil Gordon, Rafe Furst and crew at Expert Insight. They’ve evolved very nicely over the last two years or so. First it was Final Table Poker with Phil Gordon then Andy Bloch did Beating BlackJack. Soon after they did a golf DVD with Jim Furyk and Fred Funk. Now they have Magic with Stephane Vanel and pool with Jeanette “Black Widow” Lee on deck for release soon.
You gotta admit that it’s a unique and interesting model. I really like the way they took a somewhat new approach to the instructional video model and keep branching out into other areas rather than beating a dead horse over and over. Phil’s video was top-notch, Andy’s could turn any idiot into a card counter, and even though I don’t play much golf I really enjoyed the Jim Furyk and Fred Funk DVD as well. And the on deck stuff is probably why I’m most excited. I dig magic tricks and I started shooting pool way back when I was in the army so another couple of topics I wouldn’t mind learning more about.
I got a much welcomed phone call recently from one of the Murder’s Row crew with some news on new stuff Expert Insight is doing. I’ll work that up into a post very soon.

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.
