Okay, that’s not what the article said but I found this a little amusing. Besides, if this whole poker thing turns out to be a fad I wanted to keep my Enquirer-esque headline writing skills sharp.
"A Native American woman gave me this eagle," Obama told the all-female audience, as he picked through the pile. "This person gave me a lucky poker chip."
The Democratic candidate later explained that he had collected "50, maybe 100" keepsakes from supporters, explaining, "I try to select a number on any given day" to carry around with him. He hedged when spokesman Robert Gibbs asked to borrow the poker chip later tonight, when the campaign hits Las Vegas. "I might let you take it down," Obama told his aide.
Don’t worry, I won’t go all Iggy on you and start posting too much political stuff but this was poker related so I had to throw it in.

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.

This is actually quite interesting…
I read somewheres that Obama was a poker player himself, and that therefore it might be good for the industry if he got elected…
I personally do not believe so…What do you reckon of that Bill?
