But it should be obvious that if you don't understand how your small mistakes add up then you probably don't understand equity and thus trying to present it here would add a level of complexity that might distract from the message.  

It's a good point though and at some point I might write a more advanced version of this post which includes equaity as a consideration.</description>

		<description>The mistakes don't cost a small bet or a big bet. They cost, at most, a fraction of a bet. Your equity when you call loosely preflop is never 0%. It's true that small mistakes add up, but they don't add up with anywhere near the speed you're talking about here.

It's hard to gauge if you're aware of these things and left them out for simplicity. I don't think the idea gets more difficult to absorb when expressed correctly, though.</description>
