THE ROLE AND THE DEPARTMENT.
The Business Intelligence Delivery Analyst will have responsibility for the delivery of Business Intelligence reporting and to provide support to the Business Intelligence function, using existing technologies and the new high profile Business Intelligence Toolset.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Maintain existing report scheduling
- Work closely with Business Intelligence relationship managers to assist with delivery of reporting and analysis requirements, plus helping them review existing scheduled reports
- Become Betfair’s expert on report automation
- Actively support the marketing teams with analysis and reporting on promotions and campaigns
- Work closely with the BI tools and planning manger re decommission Business Objects
- Initially agree how work can be phased to migrate over to new tools
- Assess implications of any changes to Bus Objects setup and assist with decommissioning
- Researching add-ins for new BI tools and giving feedback on usability and potential to enhance existing toolset
- Migrate schedules to Business Intelligence toolset making best use of
- Excel as a Delivery Tool
- Reporting Services
- ProClarity Toolset
- Ad-hoc analysis work as prioritised by BI Relationship and Delivery managers
- Realise opportunities to develop reports using new Business Intelligence toolset
- Development and support of regular management reports for key business areas both internal and external.
- Development of complex reporting solutions to meet department and business requirements.
- Maintain request queues through RT System
- Assist in the training of new BI toolset
- Help identify training needs

- Reporting to the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Experience of working with dimensional data via Cubes.
- Experience of working with relationship tables via a data warehouse
- Experience with full life-cycle of reporting development, from requirements gathering to delivery
- Evidence of a high degree of numeracy and ability to use numbers (good numerate degree or equivalent experience) with good attention to detail.
- Ability to understand what data really means and to interpret this for management decisions.

- Proclarity (or similar product accessing cube data)

- Strong Excel ability including skills such as Pivot Tables and Vlookups

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.
