The Week That Was

Well, it looks like things might wind down here in Bangkok. The government proposed a five point plan to resolve the conflict which the red shirts have conditionally accepted. But it wouldn’t be the first time the conditions of a conditional acceptance caused everything to unwind.

Other than that, not too much to write about other than a Thailand Friends event we held on Saturday. One of our forum moderators, BobbyBoy, was in town and so we all got together at Det5 on Soi 8 for a few drinks. Afterwards we joined with Johan from The Nest for a monthly Club Crawl. It’s the same idea as a pub crawl except it takes place on Soi 11 at some of the hottest venues in Bangkok.

A 300 baht (about $10 USD) bracelet entitles you to free entry to three nightclubs (usually 600 – 700 baht per club) and 100 baht vodka based drinks (usually 200+ baht).

We were a little late to hit The Nest, but we met up with the Club Crawl crew at QBar and afterwards went to Bed Supperclub. After that we headed over to Soi 22 for German Jack’s hospitalities.

Poker Job Search

It seems like the number of job postings for poker jobs has fallen off a bit lately. I’m not exactly sure what that means. I keep getting the same jobs being sent to me by different recruitment houses.
