Not that it comes as a surprise to anyone who follows poker but Robin Millard reporting from London for the Bangkok Post has some great quotes from the best poker player in the world (Phil’s opinion, not mine).
Maybe there’s 100 people who are better than me. But they haven’t found the game yet. The fame and fortune is all there for anyone to grab.
The poker world is afraid of me because I’ve done so much. I stare into people’s souls!
Some of the great players say the reason I’m set apart from them is my desire to win.
Poker players are really good at managing money, managing people, and managing themselves.
I rock around the poker world. It makes you think you’re cool. My life is like a movie.

I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.
