I finally got a flat here in Malta. I found a place in Sliema which is about a 15 – 20 minute walk from the office. It’s two stops on the bus which means that when it rains I at least have an alternate mode of transportation should I decide to continue my two and a half year experiment of not owning a car.
No real sea views though I am only one block from the beach. My view is blocked by the apartment complex in front of me. I had taken a look at a property that had amazing views. Not only did it have great views but it was very well furnished and had the coolest shower I had ever seen.
Unfortunately, it was about 40% over what I was looking to spend. Granted I could have still gotten this place for about what I was paying in Gibraltar for a small one bedroom but I just didn’t feel like paying that much for an apartment.
What I got was nice. It’s a new building so everything in the place is brand new. Two bedrooms with mini-balconies both in the front and back of the apartment. Not really a place for hosting a BBQ but you can stand out there and get some fresh air. Plasma televisions in the living room and in the main bedroom. Nice modern furnishings and the extra bedroom serves as an office and a place for friends to crash out when they come to visit.

Hi, my name is Bill Rini and this is my poker blog. I've been blogging about poker and the poker industry since around 2003-ish. Like most people I started out playing poker as entertainment in home games whenever we wanted to sit around and smoke cigars, drink beer, and eat pizza, and needed a good excuse. I started playing online shortly after the first online card rooms opened and it wasn't long before I was playing 20, 30, or even 40 hours a week or more. One day I received a phone call about a program manager position at Tiltware which was the company that consulted to Full Tilt Poker on software development and marketing. After Tiltware I spent about 2.5 years working at Party Poker where I was the poker room manager.

Just came across your site. I lived on Howard Street in Sliema for 3 months when I was working on a project in Malta in 2007. Hope you have a good time!
