What a wild week. Tons to report here.
First off, I hope I didn’t lose any friends with my article on why we need to improve the coverage of the WSOP. I really can’t blame the journalists because the system itself is set up to produce inferior results.
I also wrote a piece on how poker room promotions work and describe the different types of possible promotions.

I also discussed Liverpool playing a exhibition match here in Thailand.
I wrote an article for the Betfair site that they’ve just posted. I discuss which five poker blogs serious poker players should be reading. I mean, besides this one, of course. 🙂
And for a little comic relief I posted a clip of some insane woman rambling on about why people should have to pay for land. This is one of the reasons I don’t miss living in the US so much.

It looks like I might be headed for the Asian Poker Tour in Macau next month. The ministry of something or other approved my application for an educational visa based on taking Thai classes. The only thing is that in order to get the actual visa it has to be done outside the country at one of the Thai consulates. I’ve already done Cambodia so Laos, Malaysia, or Singapore where all up for consideration. But my current tourist visa runs out right around the beginning of the Asian Poker Tour so I’m thinking that I might just pop over to Hong Kong and get the visa and then head over to Macau and catch up with some of my old Party cohorts.
Not much new in the rakeback world this week though Cake Poker is now paying out rakeback weekly.

A few weeks ago I was able to buy a bunch of domains in a package deal that was too good to pass up. The idea was to pick them up cheap and sell them. They’re all aged domains which means that you can pick them up and build a website on them without any sort of Google sandbox penalty (some people claim that Google penalizes newly registered domains). Give me a ping if you have an interest.
