Role: Poker Promotions Analyst

The position
We are looking to recruit a dedicated poker promotions analyst within our central poker marketing team to generate insight and drive successful promotions to support the ongoing growth of the Betfair Poker platform. The successful candidate will have the skills required to extract, analyse and report on customer data to support and input into the decision making process on global poker promotions strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical support for campaign strategies in collaboration with promotions manager
- Analysis of customer data to support insight projects and analysis
- Analysis of marketing effectiveness- targeting, response and impact/ROI
- Development of analysis and reporting solutions to support the ongoing promotions strategy
- Ownership of analytical projects
- Develop relationship with Business Intelligence team, in order to adhere and input into reporting consistency and standard, as well as ensure reporting integrity.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Essential
• Evidence of a high degree of numeracy (numerate degree or equivalent experience) with good attention to detail.
• Ability to understand what data really means and to interpret this for management decisions.
• Strong commercial understanding of online Gaming, and specifically poker marketing
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Strong Excel ability including skills such as Pivot Tables and Vlookups
• Experience with full life-cycle of reporting development, from gathering requirements to delivery
• Experience of working with relationship tables via a data warehouse
• Aptitude and enthusiasm to learn other software packages e.g SQL, VBA and Business Objects.
Desirable
• Experience in online transactional data e.g. retail or financial services
• Experience using PL SQL and Business Objects version XI
• Good presentation and communication skills – Powerpoint usage
Working relationships
– You will be part of the poker promotions team, reporting to the promotions manager
– Dotted reporting line into Business intelligence manager
– Overall poker commercial and product team
– Central marketing services
The role will generally require relationship building across all areas of the business, from finance to operations and commercial.
